Village priest and educator.

He was born in [
Barṭelle
](https://gedsh.bethmardutho.org/Bartelle) in 1895,
ordained deacon by Athanasios Tumo Qaṣīr in 1928 and then a priest for
Sanjār by [
Ignatius Eliya III Shakir
](https://gedsh.bethmardutho.org/Eliya-III-Shakir). He later served
as a priest in his village. He established a school and renovated the Syriac
mss. of the Mart Shmuni Church. He served as an abbot of [
Dayro d-Mor
Matay
](https://gedsh.bethmardutho.org/Matay-Dayro-d-Mor) twice. He wrote on the wars of Ṭahmasab the Persian. He
composed eight poems which were later published by Isḥaq Saka (Mosul,
1962).
