Marcian (4th/5th cent.)

Monastic author (or authors) of uncertain identity (he is unlikely to be the Marcian of Theodoret, Historia Philothea [History of the Monks] 3, as Lebon argued). Seven short ascetic texts are transmitted under his name in Syriac, for two of which a Greek original is also known.
