Sobo, Malki al-Qas Afram (1895–1979) [Syr. Orth.]

He was born in Arbo, Ṭur ʿAbdin. He was ordained a priest for Nisibis by Ignatius Eliya III Shakir in 1925, and later he migrated across the border to Qamishli. He composed in 1936 a liturgy for the celebration of the chrism which appeared at the Church of St. Jacob in Qamishli, including the hour offices and their ḥusoye. He also composed a number of mimre. The liturgy and poems were published, with a biography of the author, by George Ṣaliba in Madbro da-nṣibin (Beirut, 1984).
